Zelda......For the piano?

Jack and Sam had their spring recital. They played a duet "My Heavenly Father Loves Me" And Jack played the theme to "Zelda". I wish you could hear it but We live where the Internet connection is not fast enough. If you have the game just turn it on don't skip the intro, listen to the music and that is it. Imagine listening to this over and over for 6 weeks. Imagine playing it over and over. The son g was pretty complicated with lots of incidentals, almost every other note, Jack did have fun with it.

Sam played the "Marines Hymn",he did well considering he forgot his music. Most of the time the music is memorized, but with duets and some solos they have the option of having the music. Sam forgot to bring it. He mentioned this half way to the recital. I told him he would just have to do it without the music. He had been playing this song for over a month and I knew he could do it. It was a little rough, but he made it through.

Curl your Tongue

Can you curl your tongue? I can't. All my boys can. We were having some contests; like who can jump the highest, who can jump the farthest, and who can hold their tongue rolled for the longest. It was so funny. I had to laugh, which they did not like. Jack likes to win every competition and Sam thought he was cheating. I know you are thinking; how can you cheat at rolling your tongue? Well, apparently you have to keep the tongue stuck all the way out ,no resting in between your lips. These are rules that I was not aware of, so I wasn't a very good judge. There was a heated debate. It got a little out of control.

Loyal to the End

I love to watch my children's relationships grow. Sam and Blake are great friends. sometimes they come close to blows{ OK occasional blows}. All and all they get along quite wonderfully. Sam likes the teacher, mentor role and Blake is happy to direct and follow at the same time. Blake is quite stubborn and Sam can be at times, but Sam's nature is more to please and not make waves. He likes to invent games and direct the outcome. Blake usually follows, except when he doesn't. There is allot of give and take and they make each other laugh. They just watched " Seven Brides For Seven Brothers" and their favorite line was " I 'm an Uncle" They say this constantly to each other, now Claire says it and they all bust up. They come in and cuddle with me every morning. I love it. Yesterday they were knights guarding a castle and they helped each other with the DS game without fighting. When it's nice, it is so nice!
