Race Away!!!!

What are Dad's for? To make really great Pinewood Derby cars! Sam had a great time with his Dad making his car. He had a smile on his face and a kick in his step every time I mentioned the "Car." When he received his car he immediately came home and told Skip we have eight days to make the car...eight days? Eight Saturdays that is. Sam had figured it out to the minute. The paint job is coming along nicely.

Claire had a friend at the race and wants to go back to Sam's Pinewood Derby next week.

The Red Racer is ready to make it's first run, unfortunately Sam's car was not winning, so he took it on himself, after some deliberate thought, to race his car backwards......questioned by the judge if this was correct, Sam just gave him the go ahead nod. He won! Sam is no green horn.
