My Sister Cristy

I have to tell you about my sister Cristy. She has a baby, Corbin, he is almost 2 months now. He is very cute and has a wonderful smile, just like his mom. She also has two adorable girls, Ali and Morgi. Claire loved playing with them when we were in Utah.

Cristy is always up for fun. She has a smile that lights up the room. Her eyes are a piercing blue. What can I say, she is gorgeous. She is very giving with all that she has. I have been on the recieving end of her generosity many times. She is also pretty fiesty. Those poor souls in the cafateria when she was a kid.... Bang! on the head with a lunch tray if you crossed her or a friend.

She was a constant in Utah when we were there. She came to everything even with a new baby. I loved being with her and her family. She has an incredible attitude and truly inspires me.

Creating a Princess.... By Aunt Maryann

1.Buy pink, white and black{Goes with everything} purses

2 White Gloves a must.

3.Bracelets and necklaces

4.Sparkly head bands

5.Sparkly shoes

6.Pink plush bunny ears {optional}

7.Lessons on what a princess carries in her bag {Pen,pad of paper,Polly pockets,blue Clues figures, and a snack just in case}

Maryann is picking up where I fail. She knows just what to buy for little girls. In fact Claire has taken these lessons as gospel. She will now not go anywhere with out her black purse. If I even hint that we should leave it in the car, she weeps. ALL GIRL.

Finally He is Here

Last night my Sister Cristy gave birth to her third child. She had two cute little girls. Now she has a cute not so little boy. His name is Corbin Milton Thayne. I believe she was four days over due and he weighed 9lbs 3oz, 20inches long. That's a big baby. Look at his sisters, they look so proud.
Cristy is an awesome Mom. I'm sure this is just the beginning of the exciting adventure, that are boys. I can't wait to see him. I hope he doesn't change too much in the next two weeks.

Look at my Dad. This is number 27. The grand kids just keep coming. I am sure we will hit thirty at some point in the near future. Thanks Mom, for the pics.
Congratulations Cristy. I love you and your family!

Sweet Hook-ups!

I have to say my sister Maryann and her husband Shane have the "Sweet Hook-Ups" not to mention "Skills". Oh ya, they got "Skills". Whenever I have a question regarding DC I call the Clark's and they Hook me up!

I was walking down 7th Avenue in DC and I thought to myself where Can I get some delicious food. I immediately hit the speed Dial button on my phone marked "Sweet Hook-Ups" and I am talking to the culinary duo of Maryann and Shane. They direct me to The National American Indian Museum, at the Smithsonian, which happens to be right next door to where I am going{National Air and Space Museum} SWEET!

We walk in to this beautiful Museum and get directions to the Cafe. There we find a dazzling array of North American Indian fare. As I talked to Maryann on the Phone, Shane was telling me walk around look at it all so you can make a good choice. He was so right. He also recommended the Wild Rice with Cranberries and Watercress, Delish. The boy's got Indian fry bread with honey-butter,and fruit, they were happy. Skip got a buffalo burger. He said it was OK.

Look, if you want to eat well, and I do. If you are traveling in a strange city, chances are Maryann has been there, probably within the year. So,...You must call the Clark's. They do have all the "Sweet Hook-Ups".

I will talk about their skills in another post, because they got "Skills"!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARYANN!!!!! 39

Today is my sister Maryann's Birthday . { WOO HOO!!!!!} She deserves a great day. If I was in Utah I would take her out to brunch followed by a spa visit (easy on the feet) then I would take her for dessert and some serious shopping{ I know the shopping in Utah is pretty bad} we could try our best.

Maryann is awesome! She has Style. She is chic. She is funny. {she bust me up} She is an inspiration. She has so much love to give. She is makes me want to enjoy life to the fullest. I smile when I get to talk to her. She thinks about me, even though I am far away from her life. She is beautiful, especially in shades of peach. Her laughter is contagious. She is a confidant. She can be relied on. She can be called late at night for hair problems. She loves her family. She is an outstanding cook. She can talk food with me. She knows what bugs me and what I love. She is a take charge woman. She doesn't mess around when something needs to happen. She is a great traveler. She is an incredible giver. She is compassionate.

She is my childhood friend that I have always been in contact with, even through tough times, since I was one { who can say that}. I love you Maryann.
