Conservation at Fay Bainbridge Beach

You got to love the rocky beach on a cool summer morning. (55 degrees) The fog is out and you can't see across the sound. Still, there is something magical about the whole place..

We had a great opportunity to watch and help some at a Marine life by-monthly conservation effort. They put a net in the water about 25 ft out and 100 ft long. Then they pull in all the marine life. The boys muscled up and helped with the effort.

Once the net was pulled into a circle and pulled a shore, all the crabs and fish had to be retrieved. Claire opted out.

Then the counting and measuring began. One of the officials was really informative, telling the kids all about each species and environment that they lived in. One fish opened his mouth and had a breakfast of four little fish in it's mouth. The boys loved this!

Come on Mom Let's go!
No I want to stay!

Look at this cool rock. I am keeping it!

Did they have Fun ? I think so!
