Sunday, November 9

Hello, from Tabago

This is a picture of Grandma and Grandpa Ross.

This is how they looked to us as we chatted with them on a surprise phone call Sunday night. We were thrilled that they called. Of course they had to call twice, because if I don't recognize the number I don't answer the call . Luckily they left a message. I love modern conveniences.
So, here we are eating our dinner and talking. {I know these pictures are not the greatest,you will just have to deal, I know I have to.}
The kids loved that we used the speaker phone and they were able to join in on the conversation.
Blake was able to get in a joke and wanted to know when they would be home. Important stuff for a six year old.

Jack and Sam mostly listened. Claire wanted to know what they liked to eat there. Mango's was the answer, mango mousse to be exact. No stringy mangos though.

They told us about their days. They go for a morning walk, study the scriptures, prepare for teaching, visit people and they always wear their missionary tags. People approach them and ask them questions. They give out Bibles and Book of Mormons. We loved hearing about their branch and the growth it is experiencing. They have been able to witness six baptisms since they have been in Tobago {Six weeks}. All the baptisms are in the ocean. The boys think this is so cool.

Here they are on a P-day exploring the beautiful island.

This is the building where they meet for church. It is above a grocery store. they told us that today they had 40 members in their meetings and that includes all the children of which there are many and I think they out number the adults. Many walk to church up and down all the hills that are there. Some of the members have to pay 3 dollars each way in a taxi to get to church. They are poor members with no electricity. This is quite a sacrifice. The kids wanted to know how they get money. Grandma told us that they grow a garden and sell produce in a local market.

These are picture from the recent baptisms. The kids love these pictures. It is so cool to be able to share all of this with our kids. They are always amazed and curious as to all the thing G&G are doing. Take a look, if you want to know more go to about Brother and Sister Ross's missionary adventures.

We love you Grandma and Grandpa Ross. We love your commitment and testimony. We love your example and tenacity. We love that you called us! Thank you!!!!!!
